First Whale Watching Trip

February 2002

On February 9th, we did our first whale watching trip with some friends and co-workers.

We had 14 people on board.

When coming out of the harbor at about 10:45 am, there was a real strong south eastern wind blowing... Making conditions miserable.

We had hoped that once we escaped up around the Palos Verdes Peninsula, that things would be calmer....and they were.

We only got to see one whale though...pretty rough for spotting spouts !

Up around the bend, and the water was much calmer....

My friend Michele's kids...they sure seemed to have a good time...

Some more friends on the bow...Waiting for HollyB burgers !!
